The 2025 Artivist Awards are Coming!

Can you feel it yet? The biggest night of the Trinity City Arts (TCArts) program year is less than 100 days away!

On October 20, 2025, we will honor three New Orleanian changemakers who have made a life-long commitment to building a liberated future through artivism. Each honoree represents an intergenerational connection to the culture of resistance in our beloved Crescent City. Each honoree will “get their flowers” in front of a projected 200+ community members in attendance.

TCArts’ mission is “to help Louisiana youth - ages 13-21 - grow as learners and leaders through artivism.” In the past 12 months, we’ve engaged 1,250 youth through our comic book series: Trinity City. We’ve established new partnerships with New Orleans Youth Alliance, The NET High School, and New Orleans Public Library. We’ve also expanded the number of youth we employ as artists, educators, and writers. Each year, the Artivist Awards enables us to achieve these goals by raising funds to pay local artists, educators, and organizers to create and disseminate our innovative, research-based learning curriculum.

The 2025 Artivist Awards will be held at our trusted community partner, Krewe of Red Beans’ massive venue: Beanlandia!
Dusky Waters, returns as our headlining entertainer!
We are partnering with local culinary artists to provide food and beverages for the evening.
This year’s auction features an bold online selection of New Orleans’ art, music, wellness services, dining experiences, staycations, and other lagniappe available for bidding!
Trinity City Comics’ Illustrator Steve Prince and Writer Je’Miyah Suggs are our master and mistress of ceremonies for the evening.
