Major Regional Funder Features Trinity City Comics in Report

South Arts is one of the largest and oldest regional funders of the arts in the Southeast U.S.  As part of the National Endowment for the Arts’ network of Regional Arts Organizations, they seek to support the pinnacle of artistic excellence in our region.

That’s why we are so excited that they chose Trinity City Comics to represent the State of Louisiana in their 2023 Annual Report.  We are one of only 9 projects they selected to highlight this year out of a total of 295!  Take a look at our page in the report.

Here’s what they said about us:

"Trinity City stands as a testament to the transformative power of collaborative storytelling and youth leadership in the realm of graphic novels. By empowering teens to shape narratives that reflect their experiences and concerns, this project goes beyond art creation, becoming a platform for social impact and advocacy. With its roots deeply embedded in the cultural fabric of New Orleans, Trinity City Comics serves as a model for the potential of creative collaboration in addressing pressing social issues."

Step-by-step, partnership-by-partnership, we are building a vision of engaging hundreds of Louisiana youth through art and activism, and this is an important milestone in that development.

Congratulations go out to YOU and all our supporters for making this possible!
