The 2025 Artivist Awards broke all kinds of records!
It was the first time we gave all three awards to women, in honor of Trinity City Arts (and our field of arts/activism) being majority woman-led. It was the first time we offered the Trinity City Lounge, where our young artivists got to talk one-on-one about their work with other youth and adult attendees. We had more auction items, more food and beverage donors, and more fun than ever before!
Couldn't make the Awards? Want to continue your impact? It's not too late to support our organization! Now through October 31, when you DONATE $25 or more, you'll become a FOUNDING BACKER for Trinity City Comics Issue #3. Your name will appear in print!
Our three awardees (L-R): Monique Verdin, Mama Jennifer Turner, Cierra Chenier
The ample food & beverage table. Let's eat!
Our hosts: Steve Prince & Je’Miyah Suggs
Mama Jennifer Turner along with her family and fans
Trinity Citizens hanging out for a photo-op
The multigenerational crowd filled the room with their energy
The auction boasted 37 only-in-New-Orleans items
And here's a special treat for all our blog subscribers: a fascinating day-after-the-Awards radio interview with our own Carolina Guadalupe by conservative radio talk show host and former Jefferson Parish Sheriff Newell Normand.
