Get ready to go behind the curtain as teen writer Alex Warren give us a sneak peek at the first rough draft of the first chapter of Issue #2.

By 2078, one neighborhood in the flooded city of “New New Orleans” will be rebuilt on what’s left of the old Claiborne Expressway, around an oak tree that’s older than anyone can remember, and rebranded as TRINITY CITY—a precarious melting pot of cultures, technologies, and ideologies. It's a place where magic and science coexist, cybernetic enhancements are commonplace, and the boundaries between human and non-human are blurred. Against this vibrant backdrop, three teenagers from different walks of life—Rowan, a charming smuggler with a talent for getting out of tight spots; Marcus, a book-smart hacktivist with a passion for social justice; and Blake, a streetwise artist with a mysterious past—find their lives intertwined in unexpected ways.

With Issue 2, we're turning our attention to a theme that's at the heart of our community's spirit: growth. We believe that growth is the spark that propels us forward, both as individuals and as a collective. It's the engine that drives us to push beyond our boundaries, to embrace change, and to continuously become the best versions of ourselves.
Rowan, Marcus, and Blake are about to meet the Diffs, an underground movement led by people with disabilities, and learn of the shadowy group known only as the SharKKKs who are sworn to destroy them. As they become embroiled in this conflict, they'll encounter a diverse cast of characters, each with their motivations and struggles that challenge our heroes' perceptions and push them to grow. Their lives and their friendship will never be the same.

TRINITY CITY Issue #2 will explore themes of identity, community, and the power of the human spirit through action-packed adventures, heart-wrenching dramas, and poignant introspection. It's a story about finding your place in the world, fighting for your beliefs, and understanding that there's always hope, even in the darkest times. With its diverse characters, richly detailed world, and universal themes, TRINITY CITY has the potential to resonate with audiences and leave a lasting impact.
